Yesterday we began building a top bar hive. We are following instructions and plans by P J Chandler, which are posted at www.biobees.com. Photos and information to follow soon!
P.S. The Langstroth hive started in August is doing very well. We opened the hive last weekend because it was such a warm, lovely day, and they had completely filled the last two frames with capped honey! Go bees, go!
